Personal Statement

I am diligent, passionate about the law and adopt a hands-on, “can do” approach to working with clients, taking into account their goals and priorities every step of the way.

Prior to joining Bowers, I gained experience in both the private and public legal sector, having worked with law firms, barristers-at-law and the Legal Aid Department. Through these experiences, I developed strong teamwork, communication and technical skills. I am committed to applying these skills to achieve excellent results for the firm’s clients.

Profile

Giya joined Bowers as a Trainee Solicitor in August 2022. She has gained exposure to the firm’s litigation and employment practice, and has been involved in cases concerning defamation, debt recovery, sale of goods, mental health/capacity law, unjust enrichment, conspiracy, breaches of fiduciary duty, dishonest assistance and knowing receipt.

Giya obtained her LL.B and PCLL from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
